Last week, we had to do a work on loose papers to answer few questions about this subject like:
what was the Confederation, federalism & antifederalism, boycott and few more. Other than that, the teacher told us to divide in groups and pick a president from George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson & John Quincy Adams. We had to write a biography about him and if you were the president would you do the same he did.

Concepts (Jacksonian Era)

Montesquieu- french writer that declared the powers of government should be separated and balanced each'' The Spirit of Laws''.
John Locke- british philosopher that thought all people had natural rights. (life, liberty & property)
State- form of organization that has administrative power and regulation over a territory.
Nation- legal and political entity formed by a whole population of a country governed by the same government.
''Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.'' -George Washington
What he meant in this quote is that the Government is force because they can force you in a way. If you break the law, you can be punished by force. If you don't follow them, they will fine you. A limited form of government.
I. Road to Independence:
1.Mercantilism
2.Laws of Navegation
3.Laws of Numeration
4.Laws of Sugar
These laws were imposed and pressured, due to violating rights.

One of the causes that gave rise to the independence of the United States from reacting mutinously because they were used to democracy and they consider themselves americans. The agreement that put end to the Independence war was the Treaty of Paris.

During the last weeks, the subjects in our class are mainly about 'Road to Independence'. In the way of the U.S independence, there's been the mercantilism, battles/wars, unfair laws & their results. The rest of the entries, I will post concepts about this subject.
